THE METRO DENVER CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION (NAWIC) WILL HOLD IT’S ANNUAL BLOCK KIDS CONTEST AT THE MISSION VIEJO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 3855 S. ALICIA PARKWAY, AURORA 80013

The Block Kids Competition is a National Building competition sponsored by the National Association of Women in Construction.  The contest is open to all children in Elementary school grades 1 through 6.  Local winners advance to the Regional competition, and one semi-finalist goes onto National judging.

The Block Kids competition introduces children to the construction industry in an effort to create awareness and interest in the many facets of the industry.  The construction industry is constantly seeking to fill all kinds of positions!

Each child shall build a project of their choice that in some way relates to the construction industry.  Prizes include gift certificates to local retailers and there is no entrance fee!  A completed entrance form is required from each child who wants to participate.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!
Volunteers will be asked to arrive at Mission Viejo at 8:00 a.m. to help set up each child's station.  After the kids have made their creations, Volunteers will be asked to judge!  It is an amazing experience to work with these kids and see what they create!
